This very special program will remember the workers and community at the Fukushima nuclear power plant with original music, poetry and presentations. The event is sponsored by No Nukes Action to “stop the madness” in solidarity with all who have been exposed to radiation from dangerous nuclear technology. Call for details. There will be art presentation by Judy Haramoto, teach-in by Jackie Cabasso, and film screening of “Fukushima, Never Again“.
これは、No Nukes Actionが311の企画しているイベントの一つです。福島原子力発電所の労働者とコミュニティをおぼえて、音楽や詩、プレゼンテーションをする特別なイベントを企画しています。このイベントは危険な原子力技術が生み出した放射能にさらされたすべての人々に捧げるものです。Judy Haramotoさんによるアート・プレゼンテーション、Jackie Cabassoさんによる情報提供のティーチ・イン、そして、映画”Fukushima, Never Again“の上映会を行います。
We need volunteers for flyering in both San Francisco (Japan Town), East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley), set up/clean up of the venue on March 11th, as well as potluck participants! Contact us

アメリカの国旗焼いたり、ソビエト社会主義共和国連邦国旗やチェ・ゲバラの旗もってデモするような人たちですけど大丈夫ですか？

やっぱり反原発の人たちって共産主義者なんですね。
日本国外でまでそんなことして、日本人＝共産主義者だと思われるのが本当に迷惑です。

Occupy people indeed supported our action. オキュパイの人たちはデモをやっている人や、占拠をしている人だけでなく、資本主義的支配について意見をする人や、生活の中の苦しみをちゃんと政治的につなげていこうという人たちもいます。やり方は色々あるのでは、ないでしょうか？
ただ、一般的なメディアでは、逮捕されたとか、ニュースにしたい事だけをメディアが選んで報道をしているので、政治的な文脈などは無視をされがちです。
国旗を焼くことにもやった人なりの意味があるでしょうから、その人達に聞いてみるのがいいと思います。
基本的に運動に関わる人々は、お互いの合意を取って活動をするので、非暴力の場合は非暴力の範囲で、占拠をする場合はその場合のリスクをお互いにちゃんと理解した上で活動していることが基本です。
私たちのデモ行動は非暴力のものなので、オキュパイ運動の人々もそこは分かりながら関わり合ってくださっています。
そういう私もオキュパイ・オークランドの参加者ですが、外国人で逮捕されるわけにもいかないので、逮捕の可能性のある行動には参加しない、などと自分なりに設定します。一人ひとりがゴールを持って、共同で働いていく運動であって、いわゆるメディアで報道される「暴動」とは違うものかと、感じます。
